Elstal pictures

Typical street view here at Elstal, on the Baptist seminary campus. There used to be two, one in East Germany and one in the west, but they combined several years ago and chose this location. This is the only seminary in Germany for the training of Baptist ministers, as well as laypersons in the church. There's a whole group of young people here right now, doing a 2-week course to train them in missions. Our guesthouse looks just like the building you see.

Gena at the sign to the entrance.

Dad "resting" on the bridge that crosses over to where we catch the train (also getting a bit annoyed at constantly being in pictures). He arranged for someone to pick him up by car from the other side, but there's no getting around climbing up and down the stairs and crossing the bridge over the other tracks. We're not sure what someone with serious physical challenges would do. Getting to the seminary requires crossing this bridge, and then a 10-minute walk to the campus.

According to your Dad it is a 30 min walk to campus! He looks very fit from all that climbing.:)

It might be a 30 minute walk for him.

Europe is generally not set up for the mobility impaired to get around easily. I think they must just get around with their own cars and drivers...I don't know.
