From Wales

This was posted on the Daily Dish, but I couldn't resist posting it here for those of you who might not have found it yet.

It's amazing and beautiful and moved me to tears this morning. Without further ado, here is Paul, a cell-phone salesman from Cardiff:



He is singing "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini's Turandot.

Harry Chapin once wrote a song about this very kind of thing...the common man (he owned a dry cleaning shop) who rented out Carnegie Hall and sang an entire program of opera...the song goes on, however, that he "sang like an angel but the reviews the next day crucified him".....it doesn't have this happy of an ending.....

this is very nice....


and you could tell he was British because of his bad dental work! :)
